Welcome to the
Project PIN Food Pantry

ABOUT

In 1977 while working on his Eagle Scout Rank, the highest rank attainable in the Boy Scout program, Corey Barnett set out to do something meaningful and beneficial for his community and that would sustain his community for years to come.

Barnett focused on helping the less fortunate in his community through the collecting of nonperishable goods, driving from community to community throughout the Northeast Corner. Barnett, along with his family and friends, collected an astonishing amount of goods and took to then find a group and location for them to call homebase. The group discovered a small store front that soon became filled with shelves full of nonperishable goods.

The concept was simple…Poverty Isn’t Necessary. Thru the years it morphed into serving People in Need. Project PIN has seen many transformations through the last 40+ years but has always maintained their position to assist those in need in our community from their humble beginnings to their current home at 23 Village Center Circle in Moosup, CT. Project PIN is run solely on the support of the community, through fundraising, grants, donations, and food drives.
